The Womad (World of Music, Arts and Dance) festival returns to Charlton Park, Wiltshire with over 70 artists from 35 countries performing across 8 stages! The following artists are just a taster of what is on offer: Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 (Nigeria), Rachid Taha (Algeria), Bedouin Jerry Can Band (Egypt), Bill Cobham & Asere (USA), Eddy Grant & The Frontline Orchestra (Guyana/South Africa), Finley Quaye (UK), Kora (New Zealand), Lee 'Scratch' Perry (Jamaica), Little Axe (USA), Monobloco (Brazil), Roni Size Reprazent (UK), Tashi Lhunpo Monks (Tibet/India)
However Womad isn't just about music! Enjoy a variety of activities, from the 'World of Food' area where you can try Spanish, Indian, Thai, Malaysian, Jamaican and French dishes, to the 'World of Wellbeing' area for the weary festivalgoer or those just wanting to chill - offering a variety of massages from Swedish to Reiki and holistic. Buy produce from the 'World Market' with a range of crafts, jewellery and clothing on offer, or spend some time at the variety of workshops on offer for both adults and children.
