THE NEXT PLUGGED NIGHT AT THE FLY (36-38 New Oxford St, London, WC1A 1EP) IS ON THURSDAY 31 JULY.
THE BIBELOTS
Formed earlier this year Bibelots are made up of Ben Richardson, Neil Athey, Gaz Evans and Tim Fielding. Influenced by many genres of music there is a clear taste of British rock & roll with a twist of dance music and some modern indie pop chucked in for good measure.
GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY
Goldheart Assembly produce a sonic template that is both bold and accessible, ethereal and visceral. Their blend of harmonic folk pop coupled with energetic live performances has left reviewers wondering if they had "just witnessed one of 'those' gigs that you incessently irritate your mates years later about how you were there".
MAYOR MCCA
Mayor McCa has insured his own place in rock history by his actions. Truly a champion of musical D.I.Y., McCa (pronounced ma-caw) started by playing drums with his feet, guitar with his hands and singing. He has since added bass, keyboards, harmonica, clarinet and fan favourite, tap shoes to the mix and the One-Man Band Singing Sensation was born. .
MURDER IN MONOCHROME
The hotly tipped band, who have been causing a stir on the live underground music scene, unleash A ferocious blend of lush soundscapes and driving, hypnotic basslines. Led by the undeniable vocals of singer Tom Potts, Murder In Monochrome are an irresistible force. Fans of Muse, Radiohead and Depeche Mode will not be disappointed.!
