Searching For Events/Tickets

With Aloud.com's greater inventory, we now have tickets available for a wider variety of events - including gigs, theatre, sport, clubs and exhibitions. As well as this, Aloud now has tickets available for events in the Republic Ireland and Northern Ireland as well as England, Scotland and Wales.

To see if we have tickets available for an event that interests you, simply enter the name of the event in the search box (the white box) at the top of the home page. You can also instantly search for events that are happening in your area. For more detailed information such as 'what's happening in London on a certain date', you can use Aloud's Advanced Search Facility.

When searching for events you may see this message Sorry, we couldn't find anything for your search criteria: This message indicates that Aloud currently has no tickets available for the artist that you have searched for, but that can also indicate that you haven't entered the artist name correctly when searching. If an artist name usually begins with "The", you can try including it within the artist name. Alternatively search for an artist/event using only part of their name and you'll increase your chances of finding a successful result, i.e. search for 'sug' when looking for Sugababes. Ticket ordering

The event you are searching may come from Ticketmaster's or TicketWeb's inventory which will mean a slightly different process for purchasing:

Booking with Ticketmaster

Clicking on the find tickets button leads to a page specific to the event with the right hand box giving the 'event details' including:

  • Venue seating plan (where relevant), directions to venue and parking information.
  • The option to email this information to a friend
  • Venue ticket pricing information
  • The date the tickets for the event went on sale to the public
  • The option to view all events taking place at the particular venue
  • An option to request .accessible tickets. for disabled users

If you decide to buy tickets for the event you will need to select:

  • The number of tickets you are searching for (select using scroll bar feature)
  • Which tickets you want (a price range is available where relevant) with the option to search for the 'best available' tickets.

Once you have made these choices click 'look for tickets' to produce search results for your query.

A word verification page will then appear. This is used in order to prevent the use of automated programs that can block other user's access to tickets. This page will present you with a word that must be manually typed into the box below in order to continue with the search.

The following search takes no longer than 1 minute and will produce one of the two following outcomes:

  • Your request is not available - The number of tickets selected may exceed the number available at that time. Selecting a lower number of tickets is an advised option. Alternatively, if you have not already tried it, select 'best available' for the best selection of tickets remaining.
  • Should the search be successful, the page summarises the event information (date, venue etc) and price as well as allowing users to select delivery payment method based on whether the user is situated in Great Britain, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. For some venues, the 'ticketFast' service is available, where users are able to print their tickets themselves.
  • If you are not already registered with Ticketmaster you will need to at this point. For those who have not already registered with Ticketmaster you will need to do so in order to purchase tickets on Aloud. This is a very simple process with your first name, email address and the creation and confirmation of a password required. Once you have registered, your card details are securely held alongside your username, meaning you don't have to repeatedly enter your card details and save time - especially for high demand events when a speedy transaction is essential.
  • Ticket confirmation page - including a confirmation number and the option to have this confirmation email sent to your mobile.

Booking with TicketWeb

  • Select ticket type e.g. general admission, circle etc
  • Number of tickets
  • Delivery type: including on a number of events ticketFast - which allows you to print off your own tickets for an event, you can also select venue pick up.
  • Click the tick box to confirm that you understand and accept the terms to continue.
  • You will then proceed to a summary of your shopping cart. Here you can tick the remove box and confirm by clicking 'remove' to take away any tickets you do not wish to purchase. If you wish to continue shopping to look for more or other tickets click 'continue shopping.'. If you are happy with the contents of your shopping cart, click 'proceed to secure order form.'
  • A summary of your order will then be presented along with a form for your billing information below. Once you have entered your billing and delivery information, a privacy policy question must then be answered in order to continue.
  • A final summary of your order will then be displayed followed by a button saying 'place your order' - after pushing this button the order will have gone through and all orders are final after that point.

Receiving Your Tickets

A confirmation email will be sent to you to provide a written record of your order. It will feature additional information such as door opening times. You should print and retain this email, as it will also contain your reference number. This number will be unique to your order and therefore can be used to track any enquiry with regard to your tickets. In addition, you will receive an event reminder emailed to you, informing you that the event you have booked is coming up.

If you do not receive a confirmation email, please consult Aloud's help page, comprised of help guide information from our ticket providers Ticketmaster and Ticketweb.

Please note that it is likely that tickets cannot be sent to customers until they have been received from the event owner/promoter. As a result, it may not be possible for tickets to be sent to customer until a week before an event is to be staged. Ticket booking services may receive tickets for dispatch at different times, so the fact that other ticket-holders have their tickets is not an indication that you should have received your order.

You can track the progress of your order whether it was made by phone or online by either entering the phone number you ordered from and the credit card number used. This can be done by accessing your Ticketmaster account.

Tickets sent recorded delivery must be signed for by the person named on the address. If you are not available to sign for your ticket when they are delivered to you will either be left a note explaining what action you should take, or you will be contacted directly using the mobile telephone number you provided when making your order. If you are contacted by mobile phone you have the option of arranging to you have your ticket(s) delivered to your work address at your own risk. You will still need to sign for your tickets in person, a post room or colleague cannot sign on your behalf.
