Following Noel Gallagher's departure from Oasis in 2009, Liam and the other remaining members Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock are continuing on with their journey through the British rock scene as Beady Eye.

In November 2010 the band released their debut single 'Bring The Light' as a free download, and a month later went on to release 'Four Letter Word'. Beady Eye surprise previous Gallagher fans by stepping away from the trademark guitar anthems made popular during Oasis's 18 year reign over the Britpop scene. Using instruments such as a jangly honky-tonk piano, with space-echo vocals and various keyboard effects this band create a definite 60s vibe. All this combined with Liam's gritty vocals makes their tracks seem slightly influenced by bands such as The Beatles.

Beady Eye released their debut album Different Gear, Still Speeding in February 2011, and will be showcasing all of their hotly anticipated new material on a European tour in March. They will also be joined by bass player Jeff Wootton - who is currently playing with Gorillaz - and Mat Jones on keyboards. The tour will include six UK dates, from Glasgow to the Isle of Wight, with gigs at Manchester's O2 Apollo and the London Troxy in between.

Whether you were an Oasis fan before jumping on the Beady Eye bandwagon, or have only just discovered them, it seems they can't go far wrong with Liam Gallagher taking control. This tour will be well worth a visit.
