Children of Bodom is a Finnish heavy metal band that formed in 1993. The group includes members Alexi Laiho, Roope Latvala, Janne Wirman, Henkka Seppala and Jaska Raatikainen and derives its name from the infamous Lake Bodom murders which happened near their hometown of Espoo in 1960.
Their powerful and melodic metal has made Children of Bodom one of the most successful bands in Finland. Since the release of their debut album Something Wild1997 the group has been impressing all over the world and whenever a tour is announced it is no surprise that Children of Bodom tickets are snapped up by loyal fans.

They have toured extensively; with their first world tour lasting from 2003 until 2004 they sold out many of the venues and quickly expanded their loyal fan base. In 2007 they were also selected to replace Velvet Revolver for the Monsters of Rock festival, playing on the same stage as Ozzy Osbourne and Megadeth and firmly cementing their place in the industry.
Children of Bodom will be touring around Europe from 23rd April until 14th May, with performances in Germany, France, Spain and Luxembourg. This coincides with the recent release of their seventh studio album Relentless Reckless Forever in March 2011.
