Download Festival’s 12th year is shaping up to be one of its best as the 2014 line up for Europe’s biggest rock festival continues to build.
The latest line up news confirms that Bowling For Soup, Opeth, Black Label Society and Flogging Molly, Bad Religion, Phil H. Anselmo and The Illegals, The BossHoss, Skid Row, Tesla, Bury Tomorrow, Danger Danger, Powerman 5000, Huntress, The Graveltones and Anti-Mortem are joining the 2014 bill.
Avenged Sevenfold, one of the mightiest forces in modern rock, are the headliner for FRIDAY JUNE 13TH.
Joining Avenged Sevenfold on Main Stage of the first day of Download 2014 will be none other than the overlord of all things horror metal, Rob Zombie.
SATURDAY night at this year’s festival will be headlined by the Grammy Award winning Linkin Park, who will be playing their multi-platinum debut album ‘HYBRID THEORY’ in its entirety as part of their set.
Hot on the heels of their stunning return from hiatus earlier this year, with their chart topping album ‘Save Rock and Roll’, Chicago’s finest, Fall Out Boy will be bringing their exquisitely crafted, mega-singalong catalogue of hits to the main stage at Donington Park for the first time ever.
The legendary Aerosmith will be closing the festival in 2014, when they headline on SUNDAY JUNE 15TH. Joining them on the main stage as main support will be hard rockers, Alter Bridge.
Other bands confirmed, but whose days of performance and stage appearances have yet to be confirmed include pop punk royalty The Offspring, rock legends Status Quo, fan favourites Steel Panther, metal titans Trivium and Swedish metallers In Flames.
Legendary mathcore outfit SikTh will reunite to perform at Download Festival 2014. The sensational reunion will come six years after the cult Watford act broke fans’ hearts by parting ways in 2008.
Danish rockabilly metallers Volbeat, currently fresh from a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance, will also pillage Donington for a third time.
A decade on from their first appearance, fellow metal pioneers Dillinger Escape Plan will return to Download Festival
Also joining the bill are melodic death metallers The Black Dahlia Murder, Sheffield’s finest While She Sleeps, Arizona’s Blessthefall, Japanese electro metalcore outfit Crossfaith, Californian soul punks Letlive, Metalcore giants Miss May I and, of course, after the phenomenal demand of #whynotdyingfetus Dying Fetus .
Suicide Silence, Buckcherry, Memphis May Fire, Battlecross, Jake E. Lee's Red Dragon Cartel, Arcane Roots, Thy Art is Murder, The Amity Affliction, Avatar, Lonely the Brave and Feed the Rhino also Donington-bound!
