Tickets to see Elton John perform the first ever concert on in the new arena at the Blackpool Headland will be available on Aloud.com from 9AM on FRIDAY February 24th.

Undoubtedly one of the biggest artists in the world, Elton John and his band will bring their unforgettable live show to Blackpool for one special night this summer.

The concert will take place on the newly created Tower Festival Headland, Blackpool, adjacent to The Blackpool Tower and located on the world famous Golden Mile.

On Saturday 16th June 2012, thousands of fans will have the opportunity dance and sing along to a succession of Elton’s much-loved songs in this specially created fully seated outdoor arena.

Tickets for this fully reserved seated show will go on sale Friday 24 February at 9am.

Elton John said:

“I have played over 3000 concerts – but I haven’t performed in Blackpool for thirty years! So I’m looking forward to revisiting this legendary seaside town and playing on the Golden Mile, right near the Blackpool Tower. See you in June!”

Elton will become the first ever artist to play the Tower Festival Headland.

Elton has played Blackpool twice before, on November 15 and 16, 1982, when he appeared with his band at the Blackpool Opera House.

As one of the greatest and most successful live artists, Elton’s spectacular stage shows continue to leave the competition standing! His live performance of over two hours will comprise many hits from an incredible back catalogue, including such classics as ‘Bennie and The Jets’, ‘Crocodile Rock’ and ‘Your Song’.

His most recent project opened last September in Las Vegas with the return of Elton to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and a brand new show, ‘The Million Dollar Piano’, billed as “a gargantuan feast of music and imagery“. The Million Dollar Piano is set for a three-year residency at The Colosseum, and Elton’s second as a Caesars Palace headliner.

On October 8 2011, Elton celebrated his 3000th live concert since his touring days began in 1969 and he shows no sign of slowing up.

Elton’s special guests 2CELLOS, Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, will open the show in Blackpool.

These classically trained musicians have performed together since January 2011 and in that time have become internet sensations, and have landed a major record deal and management contract whilst under the wing of Elton John.

Last summer Luka and Stjepan joined Elton and his Band as they toured the world, and this year they have also entertained his crowd as special guests, opening the show with performances which have included music from Tchaikovsky, Michael Jackson, and Nirvana.
