Emeli Sandés April tour will now conclude with a hometown celebration at the Aberdeen, Music Hall on April 19th

Having sold out a November tour, the Q Besst Solo Artist of 2012 award winner, Emeli Sandé has announced another string of performances to be staged in March/April 2013. This 2013 outing will see her perform across seven UK cities, including a stop at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.

Emeli Sandé's debut album, ‘Our Version of Events’ is fast approaching triple platinum and has been in the Top 10 since its release in February (8 months). The album has hit the no. 1 spot on five separate occasions and spawned a string of hit singles as well as selling over a million copies worldwide.

The announcement of the new tour dates coincides with a Special Edition release of the album that features five extra tracks

As Britain’s biggest selling new artist of 2012, Emeli Sandé was chosen to play a prominent role in the 2012 London Olympics; the only artist invited to perform at both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. That occasion is marked on this Special Edition of ‘Our Version Of Events’ with the inclusion of ‘Imagine’, Emeli’s cover of the John Lennon classic, commissioned by the BBC for use in their footage of the final day of the Olympic Games.

Emeli continues her remarkable year with a sold out tour throughout November including a show at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall.

In the last 12 months, life has changed beyond all recognition for the former medical student from Aberdeen. Since last summer Emeli has scored two number 2 singles with 'Heaven' and 'Next To Me' and her hugely acclaimed number 1 debut album, 'Our Version of Events' is the biggest selling debut album of the year with over half a million sales.

The album is also the second biggest selling album of the year behind Adele and has topped the charts three times since its release in February.
