Following a year that saw a headline sold out Wembley Arena and a performance at the London Olympics Opening Ceremony, Winchester-born folk/punk hero Frank Turner starts 2013 by announcing the title, tracklisting and release date for his forthcoming album, plus details of a short run of UK headline shows.

On 22nd April 2013 Frank will release ‘Tape Deck Heart’, his highly anticipated fifth studio album through Xtra Mile Recordings. Produced and mixed by Rich Costey (Muse, Weezer, Rage Against the Machine, Interpol) ‘Tape Deck Heart’ is the follow-up to 2011’s ‘England Keep My Bones’ which has sold over 100,000 copies worldwide.

Frank explains further: “So, friends, the time is finally upon us! My new record is called ‘Tape Deck Heart’. There will be two versions - the normal record, and then a special edition with special packaging and an extra six songs. I'm pleased as punch with it. Some of you will know some of the songs from us playing them live, but there's a whole bunch of new stuff on there as well. I hope you like it!”

The first fruits from the album was the raucous party belter ‘Four Simple Words’ which was given away as a free download on Christmas Day. An instant live favourite, it’s had crowds all over the country dance like crazy, as seen on the live video filmed from Frank’s recent UK tour.

Before all that though Frank spends the next few months on the road supporting The Dropkick Murpheys playing huge arenas across Europe and to the other side of the world in Australia.

Frank Turner has had an exceptional couple of years; a huge sold out 2011 UK tour culminating at Hammersmith Apollo, Main Stage sets at Reading and Leeds, a top 12 album 'England Keep My Bones' and his biggest headline show at Wembley Arena.

This year also saw general release of Frank's 'Second Three Years' - a collection of live tracks, sessions, cover versions, b-sides and lost songs from the past three years. The collection features live recordings of the traditional folk song 'Barbara Allen' from Shepherd's Bush and the show-stopping 'Father's Day' from Union Chapel both in 2009; covers versions of Springsteen, Nirvana, NOFX and Flanders & Swann to name a few.

This new tour see Frank go to all corners of the UK, with special guests to be announced soon. It's going to be a must see for any fan!
