Frankmusik is the brainchild of British musician Vincent Turner, known as Frank as a tribute to his grandfather. He began his career beat boxing in 2004, however quickly turned to electropop and released his debut EP Frankisum in 2007. His Myspace page fan following grew at a massive rate, eventually catching the eye of Island Records who were quick to snap him up with a record deal.

In December 2009 Frankmusik made it onto the BBC Sound of 2009 poll’s long list, further boosting his career with more recognition and praise. His debut studio album Complete Me was released that August, reaching number 13 in the UK Albums Chart and with its second single ‘Confusion Girl’ was A-listed by Radio 1 Frankmusik was officially launched into the mainstream.

His tours have proven very successful, with him supporting Keane in the UK in early 2009, then supporting the Pet Shop Boys before heading off on his own tour in July and August, then November and December 2009.

Frankmusik has stated his musical influences to include Erasure, Razorlight, Oasis and Killa Kela. He frequently remixes work by other artists including Pet Shop Boys, Alphabeat and Lady Gaga.

With a second album, Do it in the AM in the pipeline for later this year Frankmusik is set for bigger and better things – definitely one to watch this year!
