Worldwide recognition came to the band with the release of their second single 'Take Me Out' from the debut album Franz Ferdinand. With the album and the single both debuting at number three on the UK Charts their new found success brought fans swarming to see what else the Scottish band had to offer. They didn't disappoint, and their second album You Could Have It So Much Better released in 2005 reached Platinum status in the UK and Gold in the US.
