Welsh alternative/rock band Funeral for a Friend has been kicking around since 2001, and for the past 10 years has gained a massive following with fans all over the world. The line up has gone through various changes over the years, coming to settle with members Kris, Gavin, Ryan, Matthew and Richard.

After releasing their debut album Casually Dressed & Deep In Conversation in the UK in October 2003 they received critical acclaim, however this album wasn’t released in America until July 2004.

In this same year Funeral for a Friend opened for heavy metal icons Iron Maiden on a European tour and then went on to headline the second stage at Reading/Leeds festivals in the summer. They have subsequently performed with bands such as Thrice, Deftones and Cancer Bats, and played on the main stages of many festivals.

In June 2005 Funeral for a Friend released album number two Hours which was highly praised and contributed to the band being awarded with a Kerrang! Award for ‘Best British Band’ the following August.

Their fifth album Welcome Home Armageddon was released on 14 March 2011, and will coincide with an extensive UK tour which will begin in March in Buckley, and come to an end in May in Crewe. Plenty of dates in between include Glasgow, Manchester, London and Liverpool so nobody has to miss out on this great band!
