Glasvegas have said that they take influence from bands such as My Bloody Valentine and The Jesus and Mary Chain, which gives them their own unique take on alternative rock.
No stranger to acclamation, NME voted their single 'Daddy's Gone' as number two single of the year in 2007, while 2008 saw them take home the Philip Hall Radar Award at the NME Awards. The following year the band headlined the NME Awards Tour following their own US and UK shows.
