Pop/Folk singer-songwriter James Blunt is a former army officer but left this profession in 2002 after six years. He then turned to music, showing a keen interest in guitar and song writing since age 14. Shortly after leaving the army he was signed to Custard Records in early 2003 and released his debut album Back to Bedlam the following year. This launched him into the mainstream, topping the albums charts of over ten countries and selling 12 million copies worldwide. With almost 2.4 million copies sold in the UK it also earned the title of best selling album of 2005 in the UK, and best selling album of the decade in the UK.

His third album Some Kind of Trouble was released in November 2010, selling 100,000 copies in the first week, and to date shifting over one million copies has labelled it a commercial success.
Following on from his appearance at the recent Help For Heroes live show at Twickenham, James Blunt will embark on a headline European tour from 14th June in London to 21st July in Italy, including festival appearances at Guilfest in Surrey, See-Rock Festival in Austria and Cornbury Festival in Oxfordshire.
