JOOLS HOLLAND AND HIS RHYTHM AND BLUES ORCHESTRA Tickets
The latest addition to the 2013 touring schedule is a spectacular outdoor concert at Kings Hill in Kent on July 19th
Musical master of ceremonies Jools Holland and his much loved Rhythm & Blues Orchestra have announced the run of dates and special guests of their 2013 UK tour.
This annual jaunt across the UK will see them travel the length and breadth of the British Isles, bringing their audience-pleasing, foot-stomping 'big band' sound to over 50 cities and towns throughout the year.
Appearing on the Spring/Summer leg, which starts on Wednesday 8th May in Canterbury, will be former Fine Young Cannibals frontman Roland Gift. The Autumn/Winter tour dates, commencing Thursday 31st October in Southend, will be pop superstar Melanie C.
Jools Holland & His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra tickets for the Autumn concerts with Melanie C will be available on Aloud.com from 10AM on Friday, February 8th.
Spring/Summer dates are currently on sale, with more to be announced soon. Roland Gift returns as special guest for the second year running. The singer had huge success with the Fine Young Cannibals during the 1980s, with a No. 1 UK album (1988's The Raw and The Cooked), and two No.1 hit singles She Drives Me Crazy and Good Thing – the latter also holds the honour of being the most successful record that Jools Holland has ever guested on, after it went No. 1 in 17 countries.
Three million album selling pop icon and former Spice Girl Melanie C will join the party for the Autumn/Winter dates, following in a long line of brilliant female special guests including KT Tunstall, Alison Moyet, and Sandie Shaw. Melanie C's solo musical career has seen two Number 1 singles, six Top 10 singles, as well as performances on the theatre stage in Blood Brothers and Jesus Christ Superstar.
With long time drummer Gilson Lavis, vocalists Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall, and acclaimed trombonist Rico Rodriguez, along with the peerless musicianship of the rest of the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Jools Holland will perform tracks spanning his entire solo career, as well as songs taken from his latest album 'The Golden Age Of Song'.
