Yes indeed, back to cause unreasonable rumbles in the amazing Koko, a venue with a long & rich musical history, beautiful interior, wooden dancefloor, massive mirrorball & a ridiculous sound system!
I will be playing a strong tea-fuelled five and a half hour set, with a mixture of soul, hip hop, disco, boogie, jazz, reggae, funk, house, electro funk, dubstep, latin, afrobeat, ska, plus a ton of new Scruff material.
As always, the tea shop will be present & correct, selling tea, coffee, tons of scruff music, posters, scruff t shirts, plus badges, mugs, onions, twigs, donkeys etc etc.
Doors 9.30pm-3am A lot of things have happened since a young Andy Carthy started answering to the name Mr Scruff - making a name for himself under the shadow of Manchester's mid 90s club scene. Not only has he released four critically acclaimed albums, with countless tours and club events he has cemented his now legendary DJ status. This is a DJ that can sell out the 1500 capacity London KoKo armed only with his records, some turntables and a few spare packets of teabags!
