PJ Harvey is a British musician and singer-songwriter. Growing up on American Blues music she took a great deal of influence from this and began her own foray into the music industry in 1987.

Her musical tastes are so diverse and original that her albums can sound completely different from one to the next. She also employs this attitude with her fashion styling. PJ Harvey has stated that she hates to repeat herself and as a result has experimented with rock, pop, electronica and even folk, ensuring that her fans are always pleasantly surprised with what she’ll come up with next!

PJ Harvey has received a massive amount of critical acclamation, her multiple awards include the 2001 Mercury Prize for the album Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea, with two further Mercury Prize nominations, seven BRIT Award nominations and five Grammy Award nominations. In 2002 Q Magazine rated her as the number one female rock artist, with Rolling Stone constantly singing her praises by naming her 1992’s Best New Artist and Best Singer Songwriter and 1995’s Artist of the Year. Two of her albums Rid of Me and To Bring You My Love also made it onto their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

With her new album Let England Shake was released on the 14 February 2011, her upcoming European tour is not to be missed! Including performances at Rock Werchter on 30 June, Main Square Festival on 3 July and I'll Be Your Mirror on 23 July, there will be plenty of opportunity to see PJ Harvey this year.
