Stephen Tompkinson has taken over the role of King Arthur now that Spamlot has ridden into the Playhouse Theatre.
Stephen shares the stage with Anna-Jane Casey as his Lady of the Lake during his run that will see him play the role until 16 February 2013.
Stephen who currently plays DCI Banks in the British crime series of the same name will have to take time off being serious and fighting bad guys to put on a crown and rally his great and good Knights of the (very) Round Table for the next quest to find the Grail!
Freshly minted for 2012 SPAMALOT tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and features a bevy (or possibly a brace) of beautiful show girls, witch-burnings , flying cows, killer rabbits and French people, the show also includes the Nation’s Favourite Comedy Song Always Look on The Bright Side Of Life, and Eric Idle himself as God (on a visual projection).
