With writing and demoing well under way for The Courteeners eagerly anticipated third studio album, the band have announced two very special hometown shows at Manchester’s O2 Apollo on 8th and 9th December.

Summer 2011 has seen The Courteeners stake their claim as Britain’s biggest cult band. Headline shows at Wigan’s Haigh Hall and Cheshire’s Delamere Forest saw the band shift over 15,000 tickets, with the latter selling out in a Forestry Commission record of just 38 minutes.

Festival performances at Isle of Wight and V have seen the band play to huge crowds, so Liam Fray, Michael Campbell, Daniel Conan Moores and Mark Cuppello have decided it’s time to get intimate again and deliver a festive blow-out at Manchester’s O2 Apollo.
