Brighton based band The Go! Team draw influence from bands like Sonic Youth to create their trademark 'noise rock' sound. Their songs are a mixture of live instrumentation and samples from various sources.
Other than that this band is well worth checking out, their recorded material is seen as a separate entity to their live performances, so even if you think you know what to expect they will always find a way to surprise their faithful audiences.
So why don’t you see what all the fuss is about and get your The Go! Team tickets here with Aloud?
The Go! Team began in the mind of founder member Ian Parton in 2004, who mashed up Sonic Youth style guitars, double-dutch chants, bollywood soundtracks, old school hip hop and electro to see if he could create something completely unique and good enough to appeal to the masses.
Their album Thunder, Lightning, Strike was released in September 2004 and has received widespread critical acclaim, getting a 9/10 in the NME and an 8.7 on Pitchfork. In 2005 it was nominated for a Mercury Music Prize, and Pitchfork ranked it as the eighth best album of 2004.
The Go! Team made its debut appearance in Malmo, Sweden at the three day Accelerator Festival and have since been all over the world touring extensively.
The Go! Team's third album Rolling Blackouts was released in January 2011 and was very well received. They will be playing in London in September so make sure you don't miss out!
