New Zealand based rock band The Naked and Famous are fairly new to the music scene - having only been around since 2008, but they have already built up a huge following. With their main fan base being in New Zealand the band have stated that they are keen to relocate to the UK to see what Britain has to offer – good news for us!

The Naked and Famous have been described as creating ‘rocked-up synth-pop’ and with their infectious sound can get anyone up onto their feet.

The single ‘Young Blood’ from their debut album Passive Me, Aggressive You was released in May 2010 and went straight in at number one on the New Zealand Chart – heralding the five-piece as the first New Zealand artist in three years to achieve such success.

The Naked and Famous has had a couple of singles featured in TV shows such as ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘Covert Affair’ and the band have also been nominated for the BBC’s ‘Sound of 2011’ poll.

With comparisons to other acts such as MGMT and Polyphonic Spree The Naked and the Famous are set to go far in the upcoming year.

Their album Passive Me Aggressive You (Fiction) has received rave reviews as have their recent sell-out shows around the country.

The Naked And Famous will continue their ascent after a full summer of festival action with a return to the UK for their biggest tour yet in November
