The Ting Tings tickets for gigs in June are on sale now on Aloud.com

Double platinum selling British electro-pop duo The Ting Tings have announced a series of live UK dates in June which will follow the release of their single 'Hit Me Down Sonny' out on May 28th.

The Ting Tings, made up of Jules De Martino (drums, lead guitar, bass guitar, vocals, piano) and Katie White (vocals, guitar, bass drums, bass guitar, cow bells) formed in Salford, UK in December 2007.

They are probably most well known for their debut single 'That's Not My Name' which charted straight at number one in the UK Singles Chart on 18 May 2008. The album We Started Nothing was released the following day and also went straight to number one.

The Ting Tings had a notable performance at Glastonbury Festival in 2007, and after a brief tour of the universities with Reverend and the Makers in October 2007 they were quickly snapped up by Columbia Records.

Other early acclamations include ranking third in the BBC 6 Music poll of 'Sound of 2008' and a nomination for Best New Artist at the 52nd Grammy Awards in 2009. Since then they have received countless awards and nominations, including 'Best UK Video' for 'Shut Up and Let Me Go' at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2008 and 'Anthem of the Summer', 'Best Newcomer Award' and 'Festival Pop Act at the UK Festival Awards 2008.
