R&B superstar Trey Songz has today announced that he will be playing shows in Birmingham and Manchester at the beginning of 2013

CHAPTER V is Trey Songz fifth studio album and was released on August 20th via Atlantic Records. It features his new single – ‘Simply Amazing’, produced by longtime friend and production partner - Troy Taylor (Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder), the track has been huge on the Kiss FM playlist.

The album also features inger’s first UK Top 30 hit - ‘Heart Attack'. CHAPTER V is the follow-up to 2010 RIAA Gold-Certified - PASSION, PAIN & PLEASURE, and the previous LP’s before that - READY, TREY DAY and his debut I GOTTA MAKE IT. For this new chapter in his career, Trey Songz has teamed up with the upper echelon of producers ranging from Troy Taylor to Benny Blanco (Nicki Minaj, Sean Paul, Katy Perry), Eric Hudson (Kanye West, Ne Yo, Mary J Blige) and Rico Love (Beyonce, Usher, Rick Ross). Guests on the album include T.I., Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Diddy and Meek Mill.

In addition to this, his younger brother, Alex is responsible for the production on ‘Don’t Be Scared’ “I’m excited for him to have that first moment because I remember all of my firsts in the music industry. The first time seeing my name in the credits and now having our names beside each other,” Trey says of having his brother be a part of CHAPTER V. “It’s something I’m very proud of.” The late Ahmet Ertegun, founder of Atlantic Records, once professed Trey to be “among the most promising R&B artists we have had on Atlantic since we started the company 60 years ago.” Since then, Trey has become one of R&B’s brightest stars.
