Indie legends The Charlatans and guitar icon Johnny Marr will be performing at Cannock Chase Forest for a joint headline show on Friday 28th June 2024, as part of the Forest Live summer concert series presented by Forestry England.
The Charlatans formed in 1988, and Tim Burgess and co have since had a string of hit singles including ‘The Only One I Know’, ‘Just When You’re Thinkin’ Things Over’, ‘One To Another’ and ‘North Country Girl’, and following rave reviews for their current UK tour, the band will take to the stage after Johnny Marr to close the show at Staffordshire’s Cannock Chase in June.
One of the most respected musicians and songwriters of his generation, Johnny Marr formed The Smiths in 1982. The Smiths attained commercial success and critical acclaim with Marr’s jangle pop guitar style defining the band’s sound and that of many to follow in their footsteps.

Following their shows at Cannock, the beloved music legends are teaming up for a sensational outdoor show at Scarborough Open Air Theatre, taking to the stage at the Yorkshire coast venue – the UK’s biggest open air concert arena – on Saturday 29th June.
British music icon Johnny Marr, has just released Spirit Power: The Best of Johnny Marr, a collection of songs curated from the first 10 years of his sublime solo output, together with a pair of new tracks, Somewhere and The Answer. His live shows include songs from across his whole career, from classic Smiths and Electronic hits, to his lauded and diverse solo work such as fan favourites Easy Money, Night and Day, Spirit, Power and Soul and Spiral Cities.
