Blackpool 80s Weekender – a brand new event in the North West has been announced for 2026!
Blackpool is about to become the ultimate destination for 80s music fans in the North West, as the first Blackpool 80s Weekender takes over the iconic Winter Gardens on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September 2026.
Spanning two unforgettable days, the event will bring together legendary artists, guest DJs, and a full-on immersive 80s experience that will have fans dancing, singing, and reminiscing all weekend long.
Blackpool 80s Weekender has unveiled another wave of iconic additions to its already star-studded line-up. Joining the bill are sophisti-pop favourites Johnny Hates Jazz, whose timeless anthem Shattered Dreams helped define the late 80s sound. Also newly announced is Katrina (formerly of Katrina & The Waves), bringing the sunshine energy and powerhouse vocals behind global smash Walking on Sunshine. Fans will also be treated to a very special In Conversation with Haircut 100 event, offering a rare opportunity to go behind the music with one of the decade’s most stylish and influential bands.
And when the main stage lights go down, the party continues…
The Weekender will host unmissable aftershow parties featuring TV and radio presenter Jenny Powell, alongside high-energy 80s aerobic dance troupe 80s Lycra, guaranteeing wall-to-wall retro anthems, neon vibes and late-night dancefloor moments at the Winter Gardens.
These new additions join an already packed line-up featuring ABC, Kim Wilde, Go West, Toyah, The Christians, and Hue and Cry, making Blackpool 80s Weekender the ultimate North West celebration of the decade.
Tickets are on sale now.
Across two unforgettable days, the iconic Blackpool Winter Gardens will transform into a full 80s playground – from the grandeur of the Empress Ballroom to immersive experiences, themed events and surprise moments throughout the venue.
