Thunder frontman and Planet Rock presenter Danny Bowes is returning to the stage next summer with a one-man show called Maximum Chat.
Opening at Cambridge Junction 2 on Sunday 1st June 2025, Danny will bring his spoken word show to venues in Brighton, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Sheffield and Birmingham before concluding at Cardiff Glee Club on Wednesday 11th June 2025.
The eight Maximum Chat shows are Danny’s first tour dates since he almost lost his life in an accident in 2022.
Danny suffered a stroke and, shortly after, fell backwards down a flight of stairs, sustaining severe head injuries that required life-saving brain surgery.
His condition was critical, but thanks to the efforts of medical professionals and his own resilience, Danny survived and has been on a slow, determined road to recovery ever since.
Danny returned to Planet Rock’s airwaves to present his much-loved Sunday morning show in February 2023, however he’s still unable to sing and perform with Thunder.
So, Danny has conceived Maximum Chat, a spoken-word show that offers fans a new and personal way to connect with the charismatic performer.
The show will offer audiences an intimate glimpse into Danny Bowes’ life, featuring personal anecdotes, humorous stories, and behind-the-scenes tales from his decades-long career in music.
Fans will have the opportunity to engage directly with Danny through a nightly Q&A session, making each performance a unique and interactive experience.
