Kendal Calling 2023

Lake District music extravaganza Kendal Calling returns this summer with a truly blockbuster line-up.

Taking place at the stunning surroundings of Lowther Deer Park from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th July 2023, this year’s Kendal Calling is headlined by Kasabian, Royal Blood, Nile Rodgers & CHIC and Blossoms.

Music legend Nile Rodgers says: “The last time we played Kendall Calling was epic and one of my favourite shows ever. We are excited to be back this year for more good times!”

Also confirmed today are the Happy Mondays (Saturday special guests), Kaiser Chiefs, Rick Astley, The Lathums, Frank Turner, Circa Waves, The Enemy, acting legend Kiefer Sutherland, Example, Confidence Man, Beabadoobee, Reverend & The Makers and Tim Burgess.

Tim Burgess says: “Kendal Calling has always been a favourite of The Charlatans - and even more so as Tim Peaks has been there since 2012 and I’ve felt like part of the family.

“Looking forward to heading back there in July, got me a solo gig, some listening parties, a DJ set and maybe a couple of surprises too.”

Other artists performing across the weekend include We Are Scientists, Scouting For Girls, The Amazons, KT Tunstall, Natalie Imbruglia, Melanie C, Lottery Winners, Newton Faulkner, The Hunna, Cassie and Alice Merton.

For those of you with a penchant for dance music, the new legendary Glow late night takeover boasts a DJ set from The Streets’ Mike Skinner, special guest Annie Mac, Paul Woolford, DJ Yoda, Jaguar Skills, Bklava and Krafty Kuts B2B A.Skillz.

Elsewhere, Kendal Calling’s devoted children's area, Kids Calling, returns with action packed fun for everyone this summer. From live theatre shows to giant inflatables, there is plenty to keep the little ones entertained.

The festival’s theme is yet to be revealed but the Saturday parade will also be back, featuring some of the region's finest carnival performers.

Kendal Calling co-founders Andy Smith and Ben Robinson comment: “After an absolutely stunning festival last year, we cannot wait to get back in those fields!

“With Kasabian, Royal Blood, Blossoms, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Kaiser Chiefs, Rick Astley, Annie Mac - the line-up is looking absolutely stacked. All we need now is a bit of sun and we’ve got the perfect weekend!”
