- THE COURTEENERS - The Manchester band play Newcastle (3 October), Birmingham (18 October), Bristol (20 October) and London (23 October) in a short tour of the UK.
- GIVE IT A NAME INTRODUCES - Kicking off the night after GIAN finishes, this tour will see Four Year Strong, The Color Fred, Meg & Dia and Mayday Parade tour round the UK for ten intense dates.
- 3 DOORS DOWN - Kryptonite, Loser, etc. will be heard live this summer when the guys from Escatawpa (Mississippi, USA) play in the UK.
- JAY-Z - The rapper will be around in the UK this summer playing at festivals (O2 Wireless, Glastonbury) as well as at his own shows.
- MOTORHEAD - Lemmy is back this November to do the usual across the UK. Tickets are available now.

- EDEN SESSIONS - The Raconteurs will play the Eden Sessions on June 29, as part of the Eden Project Festival. Support comes from the hotly tipped Vampire Weekend. Other dates include KT Tunstall, The Verve and Kaiser Chiefs, but availability is limited!
- >HOP FARM - Neil Young will headline this brand new festival and the Guillemots, Rufus Wainwright, Primal Scream and Supergrass will play alongside him. The back-to-basics festival (no registration, branding or VIP area!) happens in Kent on the 6 July.
- GET LOADED IN THE PARK - Iggy Pop will play with The Stooges like back in the good old days they introduced the early sounds of punk. Gossip and Supergrass have been announced as well, and other big acts will be added to the bill in the weeks to come. Tickets are on sale now.
- MELTDOWN - MASSIVE ATTACK - The critically acclaimed collective are curating a week's worth of gigs on the Southbank this June for Meltdown. In addition to Massive Attack themsleves mixing a live soundtrack to Bladerunner, there'll be live shows from Grace Jones, Elbow, Fleet Foxes, Stiff Little Fingers, Martina Topley-Bird, Gang of Four and George Clinton.
- GLOBAL GATHERING - Kanye West will headline this year's Global Gathering and he will be joined by Hadouken!, Moby, Mark Ronson, Sasha, 2 Many DJ's and more. It all happens 25-26 July in Stratford-upon-Avon.
- BLOODSTOCK 2008 - 66 bands, including Helloween, Opeth, Primal Fear. Soilwork, Iced Earth, Dimmu Borgir, As I Lay Dying, At The Gates and Nightwish will play at the 2008 Bloodstock Festival, which takes place between 15-17 August.
- WIRELESS WEEKENDER 2008 - We Are Scientists, Sam Sparro (above), The Young Knives, Scouting For Girls and others are all taking part in the series of Wireless Weekender events.
- LATITUDE 2008 - Sigur Ros, Interpol and Franz Ferdinand head up a stellar line-up at this ever-popular festival. In addition to a whole host of great bands, the festival, which takes place between July 18-20, will also have a fabulous literary side to it, with readings from some of the best writers around today.
- CREAMFIELDS 2008 - Kasabian will headline this year’s Creamfields Festival on the weekend of 23 and 24 August. Fatboy Slim, Paul Van Dyk, DJ Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold and David Guetta will also be there. 13 mini festivals will happen simultaneously around the globe to celebrate Creamfield’s 10th anniversary.
- LOVEBOX WEEKENDER 2008 - Born from Groove Armada's London nightclub residency of the same name, the festival now lasts for a whole weekend and is based in Victoria Park. This year, the non-camping festival is headlined by The Flaming Lips, in addition to Groove Armada themselves and runs from 10am to 10pm.
- DOT TO DOT 2008 - Spiritualized, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Caribou and The Holloways have been announced as taking part in 2008's Dot To Dot Festival. Taking place in both Bristol and Nottingham over the weekend of 24-25 May, the festival is showcase of up and coming talent spread out across venues in both towns. There is also a London event, Hox To Dot taking place on May 22.
- WAKESTOCK 2008 - Europe's largest Wakeboard Festival returns in 2008 with a stellar line-up that includes Groove Armada, The Streets, Funeral For A Friend and Duffy. The first weekend of fun takes place from 27-29 June at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire.
- WIRELESS 2008 - Fatboy Slim will headline O2 Wireless Festival on Saturday 5th July in London's Hyde Park. Underworld and Bootsy Collins & the Rubber Band are also confirmed, with many more acts still to be announced.

HARD ROCK CALLING - After a successful first outing last year, Hyde Park Calling returns in 2008 with a new name. Hard Rock Calling takes place over the weekend of 28-29 June, once again in Hyde Park. This year, the confirmed main acts are Eric Clapton, The Police, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, KT Tunstall and Starsailor.

DOWNLOAD 2008 - Kiss, Lostprophets and The Offspring headline Download 2008, which take place between 13-15 June. Other acts playing include Judas Priest, HIM, Motorhead and Rise Against.

The travelling dance troupe uses acrobatics and thrilling choreography to offer a glimpse into African culture
and show the brimming creativity and energy of its people. Part of the proceeds go to UNESCO, so it's not only a great cultural show that will get you up and dancing,
but a chance to chip in as well. It happens in the tents around the O2.
