THE OVERTONES Tickets
As the release of their third album ‘Saturday Night At The Movies’ approaches, The Overtones can now confirm that they will take their tight vocal harmonies and easy-going charm on the road for a major UK tour that will commence next February.
The Overtones tickets will be available on Aloud.com from 10am on Friday October 25th
The Overtones landed a hit with their debut album ‘Good Ol’ Fashioned Love’ which peaked at #4 and they followed it with last year’s ‘Higher’ which entered the charts at #6.
Along the way they’ve enjoyed a succession of major achievements, including performing in front of 250,000 people at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert, appearing at the Festival of Remembrance and hitting London’s Hyde Park for major festival shows at BT London Live (2012) and British Summer Time (2013).
Released on November 4th, ‘Saturday Night At The Movies’ is a celebration of some of the most loved songs in cinematic history. It finds The Overtones reinvigorating iconic songs from famous films such as Grease, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Cocktail and The Jungle Book with their own timeless sense of style.
Commencing with a joyous interpretation of the title track, the album’s numerous highlights include a fresh reworking of ‘Oh, Pretty Woman’ that encompasses the quintet’s vintage five-part vocal harmonies; a hi-octane blast through the Blues Brothers’ classic ‘Shake A Tail Feather’; and the boys’ energetic take on ‘Do You Love Me’. It also features a very special guest in the shape of modern soul star and multiple MOBO winner Beverley Knight on ‘Hit The Road Jack’.
“Touring is our favourite part of the year and we’re really excited to be hitting the road and coming to a venue near you,” says Lachie Chapman. “You’ll know by now that by the end of one of our shows we make sure everyone is up dancing and the Saturday Night At The Movies tour will do exactly that!
The Overtones got their big break while working in a decorators shop near Oxford Street, London in 2010. A talent scout heard them singing during a tea break and the rest quickly became music history!
Originally forming the group with just four members - Mark, Mike, Darren and Timmy - they performed this way for a few years before meeting Lachie, discovered they all had a mutual love for their music genre and powered on as a five piece band. They were quickly snapped up by Warner Bros. Records and signed a multi-album deal in 2010.
