Floridian rock icons Lynyrd Skynyrd will play their first UK tour in six years next summer.
The Celebrating 50 Years of Lynyrd Skynyrd Tour marks half a century since the release of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s seminal debut album ‘Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘nérd ‘Skin-‘nérd’, which featured the band’s timeless songs ‘Simple Man’ and ‘Free Bird.’
The UK leg opens at Manchester AO Arena on Tuesday 15th July 2025 and visits Birmingham Utilita Arena (Wed 16th July), Brighton Centre (Fri 18th July) before concluding at London OVO Arena Wembley on Saturday 19th July.
Joining Lynyrd Skynyrd as special guests at all four dates are southern rockers Blackberry Smoke.
The shows are Lynyrd Skynyrd’s first on these shores since the death of guitarist and last original band member Gary Rossington in March 2023.
Tickets to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s English tour are on sale now.
£1 from every ticket sold on the tour will be donated to the newly launched Live Trust, a new funding initiative from LIVE that will offer much needed financial support to those working across live music.
The Live Trust will initially support the grassroots music sector that is such a vital part of the music ecosystem – from venues and artists to festivals and promoters.
Enthusing about Lynyrd Skynyrd’s tour, Johnny Van Zant, lead vocalist and brother of the late Ronnie Van Zant, said: “It’s about the legacy of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and what it stands for, what the fans are all about.
“There’s nothing like getting out there, playing a great show with Skynyrd and seeing people love this music.”
